Henri Drell has been cut by the Trail Blazers ahead of training camp and is expected to join their G League affiliate, the Rip City Remix, as an affiliate player. The 6-foot-9 small forward from Estonia previously made his NBA debut as a two-way player with the Chicago Bulls, where he averaged 2.8 points in four games. In the G League last season, he had a more productive run with the Windy City Bulls, averaging 15.6 points, 8.3 rebounds, and contributing defensively with 1.5 steals and 1.1 blocks per game across 30 contests.

Henri Drell is competing for a spot on the Trail Blazers' roster with a non-guaranteed Exhibit 10 training camp contract. His performance in camp will determine his future with the team, and if he outperforms one of the current two-way players, he could earn a spot. However, a more likely outcome is that the Blazers will waive him and sign him to an affiliate deal with their G League team, the Rip City Remix, which would make him eligible for a bonus after 60 days.
